This is concerning. The last thing Parson’s needs is a gas station! Kroger has not shown that they hav e been good neighbors with lack of upkeep of their property. The landscaping on the sides is lacking and the dumpster in the back of Kroger’s is a constant problem. They might promise us improvements to Krogers, and that they will keep the gas station from decoration, etc. But, years from now, we will be back to where we started. I am concerned about the added filth that will come with the fueling station not to mention the crime and saftey issues it will bring. I am also a bit frustrated that the only time Kroger’s wants to meet with residents is when they want something. They have not been responsive to complaints thus far. I believe the Kroger’s, Inc. has shown more favoritism to the Krogers in the brewery district. The lines here on Parson’s on long, and the selection has gone down since the new kroger’s was added in the Brewery district. If Kroger’s wants a gas station, why not put it in the brewery district?

While I’d like to see some of the vacant lots on Parsons rebuilt, I have to agree with you on this one Jason. I don’t think it’s the right move for Parsons.

A fueling station is likely to bring more congestion to the street and added noise to the neighborhood. Frankly I’m surprised that the city would even consider gas tanks so close to homes.
